The entry-level J5 small SUV starts at just $25,990 drive-away for the petrol Track and $29,990 for the better-equipped Summit; the single-spec J5 EV sits at around $36,990 drive-away. The mid-size J7 spans petrol and plug-in hybrid (SHS) versions from the mid-$30,000s drive-away up to the high-$40,000s for the Summit SHS, delivering strong efficiency (claimed 1.0 L/100 km and up to ~90–106 km electric range on the PHEV). At the top sits the large J8: petrol Track and Ridge models from $49,990–$54,990 drive-away, plus the new seven-seat J8 SHS Summit plug-in hybrid from $59,990 plus on-road costs (roughly $62,000–$66,000 drive-away depending on state). That model brings 315 kW, 169 km electric range (NEDC) and more than 1,000 km total range.
In their respective classes these models deliver standout value. The J5 undercuts most small SUVs and EVs while packing features usually found higher up the price ladder. The J7 SHS undercuts many rival plug-in hybrids yet offers competitive electric range and equipment. The J8 undercuts established large SUVs such as the Toyota Kluger or Kia Sorento while matching or exceeding them on power, technology and, in SHS form, efficiency and seating capacity.
With sharp drive-away pricing, a broad choice of powertrains and rapidly rising sales, the Jaecoo range has clearly struck a chord with Australian buyers looking for modern, feature-rich SUVs without the premium price tag.
